About Us

The Granville County Historical Society and Museum was chartered in 1964 and is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit organization. Our mission at the Granville Museum is to preserve and present our local history to our community through artifact preservation, permanent and rotating exhibitions, and community events that keep history alive. The Granville Museum consists of two buildings. In Harris Exhibit Hall, you will find our offices, rotating exhibitions, and our permanent Curt Tillotson Train Exhibit. The Granville History Building, contains a state-of-the-art exhibit on Granville County's local history.
