DESCRIPTION:Fireman's Day is a tradition that dates back to October 14\, 1959. Always the Second Saturday in October\, it is the Fire Department's one and only fundraiser for the year. The day consists of a boot drive\, a parade\, and a Brunswick stew sale. All funds raised support the Fire Department in day-to-day operations as well as paying for new equipment\, training\, and general expenses. This special day is an opportunity for the community to come out and support the Fire Department that serves and protects it all year long.
