Description
At 9 a.m., join in the dedication of the Phase III expansion of the GAP. A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony will be held to officially open the new park amenities, which include tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, a pavilion area, a new playground, a fitness station, and open play space for cornhole/other activities.
At 10 a.m., opening ceremonies for the 275th anniversary will kick off a day-long celebration which will include food trucks, children’s activities, vendors, entertainment from the amphitheater stage, a book signing by author Lewis Bowling, and fun for the entire family. The festivities continue until 4 p.m.
Commemorative coins and the newly published book, Looking Back: 275 Years of Granville County History,will also be available to purchase.
